This policy describes how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for paid Sheetward subscriptions, offered by SemaBytes Corp., doing business as Sheetward. Sheetward is currently pre-launch: paid subscriptions begin at public launch, and until then nothing is sold on this website and no payment details are collected. This policy applies from the first paid purchase.

How billing works

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you select, monthly or annual, at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You cancel in your workspace billing settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep access until then and are not charged again. A monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time on that basis. An annual subscription is a committed term, you can cancel it during the early cancellation window shown in the product after the term starts, and again during the window before it renews. Publishing a standalone bundle does not stop you cancelling, but it does end the refund: the term you published in is not refunded, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of it. Free plans and trials can be cancelled the same way, the workspace runs to the end of the period and nothing is charged.

We give advance notice of price changes, which take effect at your next renewal, never mid-period. Cancelling or downgrading does not delete your data: the Terms of Service describe the export window and what happens to your data afterwards.

Payment processing, Paddle

Purchases are processed by our payment partner Paddle, acting as merchant of record. Paddle runs the checkout, charges your payment method, issues your invoice or receipt, and calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax or VAT based on your location, taxes are shown at checkout before you confirm. Paddle’s checkout and buyer terms apply to the transaction. Your payment details go to Paddle; Sheetward never receives or stores them.

Free plans and trials

Free plans and trials require no payment method and never convert into a paid subscription automatically. You are only ever charged after you expressly choose a paid plan and complete checkout. When a trial ends without a purchase the workspace expires, and a short grace window follows during which you can still sign in, subscribe, or export everything. Once that window closes everyone is locked out and the data is no longer accessible or exportable, see the Terms of Service, and take your export before the window ends.

Refunds

First purchase, money-back window: if you are not satisfied, we will refund the first purchase of a paid subscription for your workspace in full when you request it within 14 days of that first payment. This window closes the moment you publish a standalone bundle from the workspace. A bundle is yours to keep and run outside Sheetward, so publishing one takes the value of the subscription term: the money-back window ends even if you are still inside the 14 days, and that term is not refunded. You can still cancel, cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the term you have paid for. When a cancellation does qualify for the refund, the subscription ends there and then instead of running to its date: the payment is coming back, so the remaining time goes back with it. A grace window starts immediately so you can sign in and take a final export before members are locked out.

Renewals: renewal charges are generally not refundable, cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. We will, however, refund charges that result from a billing error, including duplicate charges, and charges made after a cancellation that we failed to apply.

If we discontinue the Service, prepaid unused fees are refunded pro rata, as the Terms of Service describe. Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method.

How to request a refund

Write to info@sheetward.com from the email address on your account, or reply to the Paddle receipt for the charge, and tell us the workspace the purchase belongs to. We answer promptly, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits refund, cancellation, or withdrawal rights that consumer law in your country of residence gives you and that cannot be waived. Where such rights go further than this policy, they prevail.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the version and date above. Changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect; the policy in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
