The Sales Order starter workbook — an order form with line items, four master-data lists, live total formulas and two dashboards. Download it, adjust the sheets, and upload to generate the app. Enter your email to download the workbook and join the early-access list.

A shared sales-order spreadsheet works until two people edit it at once, a total is a stale formula, or “which orders are still open?” means re-sorting hundreds of rows. Sheetward turns that workbook into a real app: an order header with its line items, validated entry, live totals and dashboards — with the workbook still the design you can revise.

Products and customers come from your List_ tabs; line amounts, order totals and cost roll up from Formula_ rows; and the order number is assigned automatically. Nothing is rebuilt by hand — the sheets you author are the specification.

How it works

1

Open the template

Download the Sales Order workbook: a Form_ sheet with an order header and a LINE ITEMS section, List_ tabs for customers, products, regions and status, Rules_ for an auto order number, and Formula_ rows for amounts and totals.

2

Upload & review

Sheetward shows every field, dropdown, rule and computed field it detected. Rename anything to your business, confirm, and the app is live.

3

Sell & track

Enter or import orders, watch the line and order totals compute, and read the two dashboards. Invite the team with roles and export to Excel any time.

What the template becomes

Orders with line items

One order header with a repeating LINE ITEMS section — product, quantity, unit price, discount — like an order and its lines, generated from a single Form_ sheet.

Auto order numbers

A sequential sales-order number assigned on save; a business key stops duplicate orders on import.

Live totals

Line amount (quantity × price × discount), line cost, order sub-total, tax and shipping — all Formula_ fields that recompute as your team types.

Customer & product master data

List_ tabs become the customer, product, region and status dropdowns; picking a product can auto-fill its unit price and cost.

Two ready dashboards

The template ships “Sales Overview” and “Sales Details” — KPI tiles, charts and interactive pivots, generated from Report_ sheets. No separate BI tool.

Roles, history & export

Owner, editor and viewer per app; a full change history per order; export to Excel, CSV or JSON whenever you want.

Why teams pick Sheetward

  • Built from the order logic in your workbook — deterministic, not AI guesswork.
  • Real multi-user: orders as records, not a locked shared file.
  • Flat pricing — put the whole sales team on it with no per-seat costs.
  • Leave anytime: export to Excel, or run the app yourself as a standalone bundle.

Frequently asked questions

Does the template include the line items and totals?

Yes. The Sales Order workbook has an order header plus a LINE ITEMS section, and the Formula_ rows compute each line’s amount and cost and roll them up into the order sub-total, tax, shipping and order total — all live in the generated app.

Are the dashboards real, or a mock-up?

Real. The template’s Report_ sheets generate two working dashboards (“Sales Overview” and “Sales Details”) with KPI tiles, charts and interactive pivots — the same ones you can filter and drill into once the app is live.

Can I change the fields to match my business?

Yes — the workbook is the design. Rename or add fields, lists and rules in the sheets and re-upload; the schema migrates and existing orders are preserved.

Can I import my existing orders?

Yes — bulk-import from Excel or CSV. Every row is validated on the way in, and a matching order number updates the existing order instead of duplicating it.

Do I have to use the template?

No — it’s just a head start. Any conformant workbook works; the template simply saves you laying out the order form, lists, rules and dashboards from scratch.
