An asset spreadsheet drifts out of date the moment assets move, get written down, or change hands — and depreciation is recalculated by hand, if at all. Sheetward turns that workbook into a register with unique asset tags, live depreciation, and — because this template ships its translations — the same app in English, German, Japanese and Arabic.

How it works
Open the template
Adjust the fields, lists and rules to match how you work.
Upload & review
Sheetward shows every field, rule and language it detected — confirm, and the app is live in four languages.
Maintain & report
Add or import assets, reassign departments, retire items by status; net book value computes live.
What the template becomes
In four languages
The workbook carries a Translations_ sheet, so the generated app — labels and master data — is available in English, German, Japanese and Arabic (right-to-left), switching with each viewer’s language.
Live depreciation
A Formula_ field computes net book value (asset value minus depreciation) as records are entered — no manual schedule.
Unique asset tags
An asset-number business key keeps each asset unique; re-importing your list updates rows in place instead of duplicating them.
Categories & condition
List_ tabs become the asset-type, department, condition and status dropdowns, so the register stays consistent and filters cleanly.
Photos on the record
Attach a photo of each asset with a safe in-browser preview — handy for audits and insurance.
Roles, history & export
Per-app roles, a full change history of every reassignment and write-down, and export to Excel, CSV or JSON.
Why teams pick Sheetward
- Multilingual out of the box — one workbook, the same app in four languages including RTL Arabic.
- Depreciation is your formula, computed deterministically — not a number a prompt guessed.
- Flat pricing for finance and facilities alike — no per-seat costs.
- Own it: export everything, or run the register yourself as a standalone bundle.
Frequently asked questions
Is the app really available in other languages?
Yes — the Translations_ sheet ships German, Japanese and Arabic alongside English; add or prune languages by editing the workbook.
Can I retire an asset without deleting it?
Yes — status is a field, so retiring an asset is a status change that keeps its full history. Deleted records go to a recycle bin rather than disappearing.
Is the template required?
No — any conformant workbook works; the template saves you building the form, lists, rules and the depreciation formula from scratch.
