Keyboard shortcutsReference
Every shortcut below works on a physical keyboard; on a phone the same actions are on screen. Ctrl stands for ⌘ on a Mac. Single-letter shortcuts never fire while you are typing in a field, so they can't interrupt data entry.
Records grid — an app's list of records.

Ctrl K | Jump to the record search box from anywhere on the page. |
/ | Also focuses the search box. |
n | Opens a new record (editors, builders and admins). |
Esc | In the search box: clears the search and leaves the box. |
↑ ↓ | On a focused row: move to the previous or next record. |
Enter / Space | On a focused row: opens the record. |
Record form and fields

Esc | Closes a line item's full-row editor. |
Enter / Space | On a line item's expand icon: opens its full-row editor. |
← → ↑ ↓ | Date picker: move a day (left / right) or a week (up / down). |
Page Up / Page Down | Date picker: move a month; in the month and year grids, a year or twelve years. |
Enter / Space / Esc | Date picker: Enter or Space picks the highlighted day, month or year; Esc steps back from a month or year grid, then closes the picker. |
↑ ↓ Home End Enter Esc | Dropdowns: move through the options, jump to the first or last, pick, close. In a plain dropdown, typing a letter jumps to the next matching option; in a searchable one, typing filters the list. |
↑ ↓ Enter Esc | Lookup pickers: move through the matches, pick one, close. |
← → ↑ ↓ Home End Delete 0 | Rating stars: change the rating by one star, jump to one star or the maximum, clear the rating. |
Dashboards, templates, support and menus

Esc | Dashboard: closes a zoomed widget. |
Enter / Space | Dashboard table widget: opens the focused row's record. |
← → Esc | Template preview: previous or next image; close the preview. |
Enter / Shift Enter | Support assistant: Enter sends your question; Shift Enter starts a new line. |
Ctrl Enter | Support ticket reply in the Admin Console: sends the reply. |
Esc | Closes any open menu, panel, dialog or the message inbox. |
Shortcuts can't be customized, and they are the same in every language.
